Blog #8
I think power block is beneficial to every student even the ones that are already successful. If you do have good grades then you can use power block to catch up on your homework or study for a test. If you are not a successful student then you can use power block to go to a tutorial and get extra help. Every student at CHS is not taking full advantage of power block. Some students are goofing off and not doing what they should be doing. I do not think power block is too long; its just the right amount of time. The new and old gyms should be avaliable without sign-ups so more students could go in there without crowding the cafeteria or the courtyard. There is enough supervision around campus and there isn't too much freedom. Tutorials shouldn't be mandatory if you have a 99 average. I don't understand why they are mandatory when there is no punishment for not going in the first place. I don't have a hard time finding a place to eat my lunch. There are lots of place to eat lunch besides the cafeteria. I prefer 85 minutes instead of 65. My grades are improving because of power block. I can go to tutorials and finish classwork or homework and it gives me time to study. The teachers are also avaliable and ready to help during tutuorial. I think power block was working pretty good until the other day when we had all of the fights. It is useful and it helps a lot of the students so I think we should keep it.

Blog Entry #6
I am a jaguar. I am a spotted cat that is yellow and tan. I am the largest feline in the Western Hemisphere. I am 8 feet long and 2 1/2 feet tall. I spend most of my day hunting for food. I eat mostly deer, crocodiles, snakes, monkeys, turtles, frogs, and fish. I get my daily exercise by hunting for food and running in the jungle. I also like to climb trees and swim in the water to find fish. Hunters and poachers are my main predators that stalk me. I am in jeopardy of being captured by the poachers. They would kill me and take me for my fur. I live about 15-20 years. Hunters and poachers are the reason that we get killed.

Trip to Madrid
If I had the chance to plan a trip to Madrid, Spain, I would try to incorporate all aspects of the city. I plan to see as many things as possible so we could make our trip worthwhile. On the first day we would visit the Museo del Prado and the Reina Sofia National Museum and Art Center. Both of these are museums which are free to students so it helps cut down on extra costs.

On the second day, we would go shopping in Madrid. We would probably eat at a small cafe somewhere in the city, that is inexpensive yet still gives us a taste of authentic Spanish cusine.
On the third day, we would visit the castles in Madrid including the Royal Palace. The castles would be very interesting to visit because it would give us a historical leason and also be really interesting to see a real castle.

On the last half day in Madrid, we would tour the main sights of the city. We would visit any last minute places essential to our visit.

Laura Bizzell's first blog
This semester I hope to do well in this class. Spanish is not one of my strongest subjects so I will have to study a lot more than most people in the class. I think blogging is useful and can be a helpful tool in learning. I have blogged in my Spanish 1 and Spanish 2 class and also in my Honors English 3 class last year.
